Lack of nutrients inhibits proper function of biological, chemical, and energetic processes and is another contributing factor to system dysfunction and inflammation. It is important to NOURISH the body’s natural drainage and detoxification processes by addressing not only nutrient deficiencies, but root causes of deficiencies.

 

Through education, coaching, customized nutritional implementation, we ensure nutrients are being digested, absorbed, utilized, and eliminated properly.

 

In addition to nourishing the body through nutrition, we address the “whole” person (mind, body, and soul) instead of just the symptom. We help clients find the right balance of macro and micronutrients to facilitate the body's health building potential.

Our fitness approach is blended with stretching, strength & conditioning so that you can collectively take care of your desire to be healthier, build strength: without stressing your knees (or other joints), or other concerns.

 

We’ll help you shift beliefs about exercise science (and aging) you once learned. We promote positive body image and a better relationship with movement. Exercise isn’t something to do when you need to lose weight or you dislike a part of your body. It’s a daily part of living your best life. When you find your “joy factor” health habits are so much easier.

 

The recommendation we give are safe, sane, and simple exercise programs you can do comfortably at home, with science-proven strategies for people of all ages.

We know your health story is just as unique as you are. It is “Your Story” that holds the answer to your current state of health and how best to restore it. The discovery stage consists of a consultation where you are able to share your history and goals for your health and review your current nutrition and lifestyle habits.

 

We also recommend completing a health and wellness assessment, which will tell us everything we need to know about how your body is functioning and adapting to your current habits and lifestyle NOW. Are you absorbing nutrients? Is your exercise program effective for you? Are you breaking down proteins and fats? Do you have high levels of stress? These are a few questions that will be answered through the discovery phase. From there we guide you down your path of health and wellness to meet your health goals.

Can health and wellness coaching really help me?

Yes it can! Group and 1:1 coaching gives you a safe place to share about yourself and learn how to change old patterns of behavior or thought that no longer work for you. You receive support, validation, coping skills and strategies to change your health & wellness. It takes some work and it can get uncomfortable at times. But, you are worth it.

What can I expect in the Discovery Call, my first appointment?

When meeting with your coach for the first time, you will spend the initial session discussing your health history, background, main concerns, and goals for the coaching sessions. Your coach will take notes and work with you to determine an appropriate plan of action. Then, you’ll be given the opportunity to ask any questions and determine if you’d like to make a next appointment. There is no pressure to make a next appointment – this is all about finding the right fit for you!

How long are the sessions and how often do we meet?

Coaching sessions are generally 30, 60 or 90 minutes long and happen on a weekly, biweekly or monthly basis. However, we are sometimes able to extend flexibility with scheduling and see you either more frequently or infrequently depending on your specific situation and goals.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

At this time, all of our sessions are conducted virtually via telehealth (phone or video). There are many benefits to this! Telehealth allows for increased flexibility in scheduling and takes away the need to allot for driving time or coordinating care for kids, pets, or other obligations. Many of our clients find that telehealth is very similar to in-person therapy and just as effective.

What is telehealth like?

Telehealth coaching is very similar to in-person. You will meet with your coach and confidentially discuss any concerns or issues you are having; the only difference is it will be over a computer screen or over the phone! Telehealth allows for increased scheduling flexibility and saves our clients time. While it may be intimidating at first, telehealth is just as effective as in-person coaching and offers a safe and confidential space for you to speak freely.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

When you schedule with WB Health + Wellness, you are given a specific time and space to meet with your coach. This is YOUR time that is being held specifically for YOU.  While we love seeing you, we understand that sometimes things come up. Therefore, if you need to cancel your appointment, we kindly ask that you notify your coach at least 24 hours in advance.

Why? Because missed sessions and wasted time is a drag for everyone. If we know in advance, we can plan for our day and use our time more efficiently and give better service to all our clients. If you miss your appointment and do not notify us within 24 hours, you will be personally responsible for that amount from your package. Thank you for your understanding.
